This is a LAST CALL for anyone who wishes to join us on May 22nd, 23rd and 24th at  Grape Hammock Fish Camp in Lake Wales.
For our new members who might need a bit more information, this outing is to a fish camp with lovely cabins that have nice accommodations, kitchens and bathrooms.  They are extremely well maintained and have all the creature comforts including air conditioning, you might need for a couple of days away.  The camp is approximately an hour and a half from Port St. Lucie.
Some of us go up to the camp on Monday, some come on Tuesday.  Their website has pictures of the cabins and a map of the camp as well as cabin prices. The website is “”.
Everyone pays $25/pp for meals and takes care of paying for their own cabins.  Dinners, lunches and breakfasts are included.  All meals are served in air conditioned comfort in Cabin 12 which is actually a large house with dining room space to seat about 40 people comfortably.
Wednesday evening is our big fish fry dinner.  Everyone is welcome.  If you are not able to come for the overnights, but wish to join in for the evening festivities on Wednesday, a $10 fee will get you a great meal.
Having the large house enables us to have social time after dinner without having to worry about mosquitos.  There even has been a poker game or two after dinner.  This time is enjoyed by all since we don’t have much time to socialize at our monthly meetings.
We still have cabin #1 reserved which has room for 9 people.  If we don’t have 9, (right now we only have 3) we will relinquish the cabin back to the camp so they have the opportunity to rent it to another group and the three we do have will occupy a cabin for 3.
Last week I spoke to Heather at Grape Hammock she said cabin #19 was still available.  It has 1 double bed and 1 single bed.  I don’t know if it is still available now.
If you have an interest in joining us, please let me know by Sunday, May 6th so that I can let the camp know on Monday,  May 7th, which cabins we will need and which to turn back to them.
Thank you,
Mary Lou Cannata
